Zodiac School of Dance is dedicated to bringing quality and affordable dance classes to Fife. We are based in Lochgelly and offer a variety of classes in Street, Commercial, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet & Acrobatics for boys and girls from age 3. We also have classes for adults too.
We have been established for over 20 years and since opening our doors in 2000, our students have not only performed around the World, but have also held dance titles in competitions across the country.
The school was awarded Lochgelly’s Citizen of the Year in 2017 with owner Stacey Gunn meeting the Queen.
It’s not all about the winning though, at our core we are a fun and friendly dance school with the focus firmly on all students as individuals.
Zodiac is not only a dance studio but our dance family home. The studio is a safe place for all the children, teenagers and young adults to come and be free. Dance helps with physical health, well-being and mental health. We are more than just a dance school and play a major role in the lives of our pupils and their parents/guardians. We provide a safe and friendly environment where our students can not only learn how to dance and be exposed to health & fitness, but also make lifelong friends in the process as many of our pupils progress through the age groups together.
Under the guidance of founder and owner Stacey Gunn – a professionally qualified dance teacher and choreographer with over 20 years experience, the kids and teenagers are exposed to a positive role model. All teaching staff at Zodiac are fully insured and hold a Disclosure Certificate. In addition to this they have a wealth of professional experience and hold qualifications to support their specific field of expertise.
Here at Zodiac we also help young people with an interest in teaching dance by allowing fully supervised experiences of leading a class from choreography through to performance giving them important work experience and confidence.
For those with professional ambitions, we provide a platform to pursue Dance into Further Education. Following Stacey and other teaching staff’s experiences and graduation from Dance College, with the added support of our guidance with the audition and interview process, many of our pupils go on to study Dance full time at various institutions.
